Regional Medical Center (The MED): The Regional Medical Center at Memphis (commonly known as The MED) is an acute-care teaching hospital that serves a six-state region within 150 miles of Memphis, Tennessee. The MED has served as a pioneer in medical breakthroughs as well as a safety net for those who are unable to get quality health care elsewhere. The Center is known best for its cutting-edge trauma and burn centers, but is also home to 50 areas of specialty with a focus on providing patient-centric medical care and support in coping with traumatic illnesses, injuries and other high-risk medical conditions. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is one of the worlds premier pediatric cancer research centers.
